Colorado Springs, Colo. (PRWEB) December 2, 2009
The newly designed web site for the United States Hang Gliding and Paragliding Association (USHPA) went live this week. USHPA.org aims at reaching out to, and providing, potential hang gliding and paragliding pilots a thorough informational resource to explore the two sports. The new website features world class photography, stories, glossary of terms, FAQ sheets, and an instructor locator tool based on an interested enthusiast’s zip code.
“The new site incorporates stunning photography, graphics, content, and easy navigational tools to place the potential pilot inside the culture of the sports. We really feel potential pilots from all walks of life will find the new site a incredibly valuable educational component,” said Paul Montville, Executive Director for USHPA.
In addition to an instructor locator there are adventure feature stories, a glossary of important terminology, steps for buying equipment, how to choose an instructor, competition schedules, a calendar of USHPA sanctioned events, and a commonly asked questions section.
“We will be updating the website regularly with new rich content, and are very excited to have this non-pilot website as a partner to our member website http://www.ushpa.aero. With this new tool we hope that hang gliding and paragliding will have a more positive web presence to match the great strides the sports have made over the last ten years," said Robin Jones, Information Services Manager for the USHPA.
