California’s leading education law firm updates its name. This changes reflects the firm's forward thinking.

Miller Brown & Dannis announced on Friday, December 4, 2009, that as of March 1, 2010, it will change its name to Dannis Woliver Kelley. Miller Brown & Dannis is the only law firm in California that has exclusively served public school and community college districts for more than 30 years, and the same lawyers will continue with Dannis Woliver Kelley.

Gregory J. Dannis, firm president, announced the impending change at the firm’s annual client appreciation party that took place in conjunction with the California School Board Association (CSBA) annual conference in San Diego. “This change reflects the attorneys who are in the here and now,” Dannis said. He went on to say that the firm’s vision will continue to be the same: to partner with districts throughout the state to help them reach their goals of bettering California public education.

Shareholder Sandra Woliver and Managing Shareholder Mark Kelley will be the other two named shareholders in DWK. Ms. Woliver is one of leading labor and personnel attorneys in California. Mr. Kelley has been the head of the firm’s statewide construction legal practice for many years.
