TechExcel’s integrated test management solution enables leading compliance management provider to manage thousands of test cases across multiple teams, handle multiple resources and integrate results from external sources

TechExcel, Inc., a leading provider of Application Lifecycle Management software, today announced that Gael Quality, a leading provider of compliance management and business improvement software, has selected DevTest Studio as their software quality process management solution. As a result, Gael Quality is now equipped to more efficiently manage thousands of test cases across distributed teams, handle multiple resources and fully integrate both manual and automated test results from external sources such as TestComplete.

DevTest Studio is an integrated test management application that allows QA organizations to implement quality management processes earlier in the development lifecycle, resulting in higher quality products. From test case creation, planning, and execution through defect submission and resolution, DevTest Studio tracks and manages the complete quality lifecycle.

After determining that a paper-based or spreadsheet system was neither adequate nor viable to effectively handle the growing volume and increased complexity of its test cases, Gael Quality selected TechExcel’s DevTest Studio for planning, designing, managing and tracking all of its testing projects. Gael Quality also improved test standardization, re-use and revision control using DevTest Studio’s centralized test library and increased their team productivity with reduced data entry, definable test interfaces and process automation. As an additional bonus, DevTest Studio provided Gael Quality with an easily customizable workflow management system and provided full traceability back to initial test requirements.

Ian Blair, Gael Quality, said, “We have executed more than 117,000 test cases and over 19,000 of these have been executed by TestComplete and the results fed back to DevTest by our custom execution framework. We could never have efficiently managed the volume of tests we have now without TechExcel DevTest Studio.”

“Product testing is more complicated, labor-intensive, and time-consuming than ever before,” said Jeff Johnstone, Sr. Director of Sales and Marketing at TechExcel. “We are pleased more and more organizations like Gael Quality understand the necessities of replacing out-dated systems with modern applications that simplify and streamline quality management processes are increasingly turning to TechExcel for integrated test management solutions.”

DevTest Studio combines the award-winning QA test management features of DevTest, the market-leading defect tracking features of DevTrack and TestLink for test automation. With real-time test results reporting, tracking and analysis, as well as critical management decision metrics such as quantitative development and testing time estimations, DevTest Studio gives organizations greater control over product quality. TechExcel’s knowledge-centric approach to test management also ensures that test teams always have access to up-to-the-minute data for each phase of the testing life cycle.
