People heading to Munich at the end of February will find themselves amid a mini Oktoberfest.

At the end of February, the south German city hosts Starkbierzeit, which is described as a miniature Oktoberfest by the Guardian.

The newspaper included the event in its list of the best local festivals for 2010.

Running from February 25th to March 27th, there is plenty of time for beer-lovers to explore all the city has to offer and sample many of the local brews.
