Founder of, Pastor Ron Brooks, developed an interactive blog to establish an online resource of information about Westgate Chapel's addiction recovery program, New Heart Place. Here, victims of addiction and their loved ones can find faith-based answers and solutions to their life-consuming struggles.

Pastor Ron Brooks has witnessed addiction in all walks of life as he's strived to bring strength, recovery and the word of God to hundreds of sufferers he's counseled throughout his decades of discipleship.

Now with the infinite reach of the Internet at his fingertips, Brooks has developed an interactive blog,, to spread the word of a Christ-centered recovery to those who suffer from addiction. Here, you'll find a plethora of information about the various types of addiction along with solutions and guidance for recovery.

Looking back on Brooks' history with addiction-recovery counseling, his vision for group healing began nearly 30 years ago when he was the active senior pastor of Church by the Side of the Road in Tukwila, WA. It was here that he established his very first recovery program intended to heal and guide the "broken and hurting;" a group of mostly alcohol and drug addicts.

Now the senior associate pastor of Westgate Chapel (a non-denominational Christian Church) in Edmonds, WA, Brooks has utilized his faith and decades of experience to develop a full-time resident recovery program for men called New Heart Place. His program offers emotional and spiritual recovery - once physical detoxification has occurred - to addicts, mainly of drugs and alcohol.

With a focus on establishing a relationship with God, New Heart Place also provides its participants with a yearlong syllabus of invaluable life lessons such as vocational training, leadership development and ownership of actions.

Additionally, Brooks has created a discipleship program called New Heart Ministries. Held at Westgate Chapel, this program meets every Monday at 7 p.m. (room 320) to discuss addiction and promote healing. The service, which includes dinner, provides worship and the following groups: Chemical Dependency, Men's Issues, Women's Issues, Gambling Addictions and support for Families of the Addicted.

In a holistic sense, Brooks hopes to extend such recovery programs to other churches nationwide to build the New Heart Network, which currently encompasses two other local churches.

About the Company: is operated by Executive Pastor Ron Brooks of Westgate Chapel.
