BRIO Tuscan Grille, a BRAVO | BRIO Restaurant Group (BBRG) concept, is opening a new location at The Village at Gulfstream Park, situated directly in front of the internationally-acclaimed Gulfstream Park in Hallandale. The new restaurant is scheduled to open on March 24, 2010.
BRIO (meaning “lively” or “full of life”) is a casual, white-tablecloth restaurant serving authentic, northern Italian cuisine. It brings the pleasure of the Tuscan country villa to the American city. The subtitle, “Tuscan Grille,” is descriptive of the menu that features wood-grilled and oven-roasted steaks, chops and seafood, similar to what one would find in an authentic ristorante in Tuscany. BRIO’s philosophy is “To eat well, is to live well,” which is why it uses only the finest and freshest ingredients, Tuscan cooking methods, and placing an emphasis on serving generous portions of prime steaks and chops, made-from-scratch pasta specialties, and flatbreads. There is also an ample dessert menu and full wine list.
Additional offerings at BRIO Gulfstream will be the Bellini Brunch, available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; and the $2.95 Tuscan Taster bar menu, which will feature standouts such as Shrimptini (Shrimp cocktail), Beef Carpaccio and mini BRIO Bistecca burgers. The Tuscan Taster menu will be available Monday-Friday from 3-7 p.m. and 9 p.m. until closing in the bar area only. The restaurant will also offer a special Children’s Menu, curbside-to-go and family style pans-to-go for off-site catered special events and business occasions.
The beautiful new 13,734 square-foot Gulfstream restaurant, located at 600 Silks Run, Suite 1205, Hallandale Beach, Fla. 33009, will offer indoor seating for 200 guests, and al fresco dining for up to 120 on two Italian-style terraces. Three private dining areas will accommodate groups ranging from 12-72. The bar area will seat 32.
BRIO’s villa-like interior features details such as antique hardwood Cypress flooring, arched colonnades, hand-crafted Italian mosaics, antique doors, hand-crafted walls covered in an antique Venetian plaster, Arabescato marble-imported from Italy, and sizable wrought-iron chandeliers.
BRIO Gulfstream will be open seven days a week: Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m.-10 pm, and Friday & Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Reservations will be accepted and walk-ins welcomed. Executive Chef Mark Heigl and General Manager Carlos Alarcon head the management team.
