NAPO-Los Angeles Announces New Board of Directors

The National Association of Professional Organizers - Los Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA) officially announces the new Board of Directors elected for the 2010-2011 term

Voting has ended and the results are in for the newly elected Board of Directors that will serve the 2010-2011 term for The National Association of Professional Organizers - Los Angeles Chapter (NAPO-LA)

Katherine Macey will return to the board for a second term, but, in a new role as President. Donna Rosman, who is new to the board, was named Vice President. Chantale Bordonaro, CPO® serving her fourth term on the board overall is now Immediate Past President. Re-elected for a second term are members Nicole Ballard as Treasurer and Regina Lark as Secretary. The above members are all part of the Executive Committee.

Also returning for a second term is Cynthia A. Smith as Director of Membership. Remaining in their roles for a third term are Heather Furlong as Director of Marketing and Leslie Haber as Director of Professional Development. Joining the Board this year is Erin Haas as Director of Administration. After being voted in to serve three months for a vacant position, Kim Rocke will now serve a full year as Director of Communications and Technology.

The board is responsible for the shape and direction of the chapter as well as developing and guiding professional organizers with education, networking and support. NAPO-LA is the nation's third largest NAPO chapter and is honored to be the Founding Chapter of NAPO. The all-volunteer Board is comprised of leading professional organizers in the Los Angeles, Ventura and Orange County areas - and is elected annually by the chapter membership. The Board terms begin May 15, 2010 and conclude May 14, 2011.

According to President-elect Katherine Macey, "I am much honored to be following in the footsteps of Chantale Bordonaro and all the other past presidents of NAPO Los Angeles who together established our chapter as the leading authority for professional organizers in the region. In this challenging economic environment, the role NAPO Los Angeles plays for our members is even more important. The new Board will continue to drive the organization strategically to meet the needs of our members and to raise public awareness of this essential industryā€¯.
