New Website Offers iPhone/iTouch/iPad App Users Flexible Tools to Discover Apps

"We envision AppPicker's Consecutive Weeks in Top 400 list becoming the equivalant of Billboard's Top 100 Songs list, but for apps."

Dutz Technologies LLC today announced the launch of, a product review website focused on iPhone/iTouch/iPad apps.

The website offers a variety of useful and flexible tools for users to find and acquire those apps best suited for and most interesting to them. As a registered member of the website, users can select apps to receive an e-mail from AppPicker when their prices drop.

“We created AppPicker to provide people with an alternative research platform to the App Store,” said Luis A. Gutierrez, Founder and CEO of Dutz Technologies, LLC. “For the most part, the App Store highlights a couple hundred of the most popular apps although there are over 200,000 apps and, in our view, headed into the millions, across all mobile app platforms, in the not too distant future. We effectively lift the curtain on the app universe and expose people to many other apps that are right for them and which they will enjoy.”

Aside from reading and writing app reviews, visitors to the website can sort data to identify apps with the best average ratings by app developers and other users. AppPicker also evaluates apps and those reviews are available to visitors. AppPicker is a portal to the App Store so after finding apps they like, visitors can click through to download them.

AppPicker established a “Consecutive Weeks in Top 400” list (located at as a way for people to identify strong running apps and newly popular apps. “If people are in a rush and want to know which apps are perennial powerhouses versus those who have recently gained significant momentum, the Top 400 list is a great tool. We envision it as a “Billboard Top 100” list but for apps,” said Luis A. Gutierrez.
