Tamils for Obama Tuesday extended their congratulations to David Cameron and Nick Clegg and their parties after forming their government following the United Kingdom's parliamentary election.
"We have great hopes for David Cameron and Nick Clegg's performance in office," a Tamils for Obama spokesman said. "As reported by TamilNet, UK policy has been a key issue for many British Tamil voters, and we are certain that Mr. Cameron and Mr. Clegg are aware of that. We are sure that they know of the human rights implications of the UK's policies toward Sri Lanka, and know of Tamils' aspirations for a safe national homeland. We believe they will take appropriate actions."
