Jack the Insurance WebHound shows up to meet agents at the 2010 PIANJ/PIANY Joint Annual Conference

iWebHound.com was designed for the retail agents. It's flexible, free and easy to use.

After just six months “live” iWebHound.com joined the 190 exhibitors at the PIANJ/PIANY Joint Annual Conference last week. Its first public exhibit included participation in the NJYIP Fun Run. The run raised over $143,000 for Special Olympics NJ and is sponsored by the NJ Young Insurance Professionals each year.

“The combination of the conference and run was a perfect way to celebrate our half-year birthday,” says Fred Ey, founder and President of the iWebHound.com site. “Both events gave us unique opportunities to meet agents face to face and hear about how they use iWebHound.com to find markets for their clients. We were particularly gratified to hear the enthusiastic comments from many of the users who clearly felt iWebHound.com was their ‘go to’ resource for locating a new market or program.”

The site went live 6 months ago, almost to the day of the Fun Run. It is free to users and does not require a sign in or password. iWebHound.com does not rely on wholesalers or MGAs to come to them with their programs and markets or charge them any fee to be included in the raw search results. Instead, they use Google powered technology to go out looking for them and serve the information to retail agents in an easy to use and traditional search engine format.

“Being able to show our appreciation to our users and offer a hands on introduction to the site to new agents right there in the booth was a valuable experience." Ey sums it up this way, “iWebHound.com was designed for the retail agents. It is flexible, free and easy to use. All we have to do is continue to spread the word to make it a success, for them and for us. If that means I have to run on the boardwalk in New Jersey’s summer heat and it is for a good cause to boot, count me in.”
