We want to be THE go-to site for travelers. In order to do that, we want to be useful, informal, interactive... we want to offer a travel information experience.

Travelers are busy people. They need to travel, and, they want to make their traveling easier and hassle-free. Recently, a new website launched that helped travelers travel better, faster, and cheaper, and now that site is even more effective.
SkyCap News is a travel information website providing travel deals, up-to-date airline information, travel tips, and travel advice for business travelers and vacationers. They had a beta launch in the spring to develop their site and they officially launched in June, making valuable improvements based on the insight of the earliest users.
And now, thanks to further development, SkyCap News is even more interactive than ever. Richard Gory, a representative of SkyCap News, explains: "We wanted to make our site more user-friendly and more interactive. So, we looked around for technology that would support that and we found Joomla had everything we needed."
Joomla is an open-source content management system that helps site owners like SkyCap News to create and manage content and quickly develop and deploy new features like blogs, surveys, polls, and so much more.
"We want to be a high quality travel information site," says Gory, "but we want to be so much more. We want to be THE go-to site for travelers. In order to do that, we want to be useful, informal, interactive… we want to offer a travel information experience."
The integration has been successfully deployed and although most users won't notice a difference on the main website, they will soon see additional exciting new features on the website. "We're planning to have one or more blogs, and we want to get people interacting with the site even more."
Among their other improvements is a Trip of the Month feature where they highlight a specific destination each month and share pictures, stories, insight, and travel tips for that location. People who are looking for their next great vacation will love visiting this part of the site again and again.
"We're here to help," says Gory, "and we want to continue to make our site as useful as possible."
