Cancer patients of any age and bone marrow donors or recipients can travel on Ultimate Air Shuttle to and from Cincinnati, Ohio to hospitals in or near New York City. Flights leave Cincinnati daily Monday through Thursday mornings; returning early evening.

“We are happy to be able to provide this needed service,” said Ultimate Air Shuttle, president, John Gordon. “Providing seats at no cost to the patients and those traveling with them on our planes is one way we can help them get through this tough time.”

Ultimate Air Shuttle is pleased to announce the availability of free flights for children or adults receiving cancer treatments, bone marrow donors or bone marrow recipients. For those from the Cincinnati or surrounding area needing to travel to New York City or surrounding area, or those from the New York area needing treatment in the Cincinnati area, Ultimate Air Shuttle will provide a seat for the patient as well as one travel companion (for adults) or the patient and two companions if the patient is a child.

Kid Time, a non-profit organization who supplies clocks, made by kids for sick kids, will provide a clock to each child who travels. Dr. Murray Molikin founder of Kids Time, gathers donations and with the help of other children from around the country they assemble his creative wall clocks. This inspiring organization has given away more than 3000 clocks to children in hospitals.

“We are happy to be able to provide this needed service,” said Ultimate Air Shuttle, president, John Gordon. “We understand the financial and mental stress that cancer patients experience. Providing seats at no cost to the patients and those traveling with them on our planes is one way we can help them get through this tough time.”

Some people travel to and from NYC in a day while others arrive in either city and stay for days or weeks while receiving treatments. Contacts are being made in both Cincinnati and in NYC to alert oncologists of this service, hoping to provide an option for additional or experimental treatments. Once arriving at their destination, Ultimate Air Shuttle will aid with ground transportation to the hospital. Families may be eligible to stay at the Ronald McDonald House if the patient is a child.

Ultimate Air Shuttle has nine 30-seat jet aircrafts which travel to various locations throughout the country on chartered flights as well as some regular routes. Their daily flights to and from New York City will be expanding in the fall to include daily service to the Chicago area. At that time, Angel service may also be included for those from the Cincinnati area seeking treatment in Chicago, or those in the Chicago area seeking treatment in the Cincinnati area.

For anyone seeking transportation back and forth from Cincinnati and New York, contact either the Angel network or Ultimate Air Shuttle to make arrangements for a flight. A three-week window is requested to ensure a flight is available. Flights leave from the Lunken Airport in Cincinnati and arrive at the Morristown, NJ airport near NYC.
