FSA, an industry-leading ASC management and development company, announces new partnerships in Maryland and Louisiana.

Foundation Surgery Affiliates (FSA) announces this week new corporate partnerships with four ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs). FSA acquires the interest formerly held by Surgical Synergies, Inc, as well as the management rights.

"We are thrilled and privileged to have the opportunity to partner with these four groups of outstanding physicians,” says FSA President Jon Friesen. “Foundation’s investment in these surgery centers will allow the physicians to focus on clinical excellence while leveraging FSA's infrastructure, buying power and support services. This is another landmark event in our effort to expand our services to more physicians and surgery centers across the country."

These four facilities are included in the acquisition:

  • Metropolitan Medical Partners in Chevy Chase, MD
  • Cumberland Valley Surgery Center in Hagerstown, MD
  • Frederick Surgical Center in Frederick, MD
  • Perkins Plaza Ambulatory Surgery Center in Baton Rouge, LA

“We are very pleased that FSA has invested in our ASC,” says Dr. John Olenczak of Cumberland Valley Surgery Center. “And we’re thrilled that they understand the issues we’re facing both at our center and in our industry. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with FSA.”

Foundation Surgery Affiliates is an industry leading ASC management and development company focused on partnering with physicians and employees to create an outstanding patient experience, while maximizing partner and shareholder value.
