Pro Auction are pleased to announce the auction sale of the assets at The Original Ham Company, Wncanton, following closure of the operation on August 15th 2010. The auction is being webcast through http://www.bidspotter.com and includes a whole range of primary processing, manufacturing and packaging equipment associated with the manufacture of hams, cooked and sliced meat and sausages.

Equipment from manufacturers to include Multivac, Weiler, Seydlemann, Risco Breveti, Vemag and Wolfking are offered and expected to attract processors within the meat processing sectors with 300 lots planned to go under the hammer.

The auctioneers anticipate worldwide interest in the sale due to the vast array of food processing machinery being offered to the market, at a fraction of the new cost of machinery.

Pro Auction Director, Mark Flynn states that since the economic downturn the interest in good quality second hand processing machinery has significantly increased, this coupled with good exchange rates and the fact the machinery is readily available, should appeal to processors worldwide.

The auction of meat & food processing machinery is set for the 23rd September 2010, prior to which a viewing of the items is offered to interested parties. Bidspotter offers the bidder the opportunity to view the catalogue, full images and bid at the sale without the need to leave the office!

Along with a number of auctions planned in Europe within the meat industry Pro Auction has a number of sales within the bakery industry.

The Original Hall company caters to the need for precision-cut, IQF cooked meats at the former Watchbell Site in Wincanton, Somerset. Prior to the site closure the company operated from a modern 12,500 sq. ft. factory that boasted capacity of 100 tons per week specialising in providing packers with a range of pre-diced or sliced pork shoulder, ham, sausages, assorted meat rolls, chicken and other meat components for quiches and pie fillings

Operating solely within the food industry Pro Auction has an in-depth knowledge of the auction selling process and how the machinery actually works making them a favourite and trusted seller to some of the leading manufacturers worldwide.
