Concession Charities, the charitable-giving organization of the renowned Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, FL, will be hosting the Archie Griffin Celebrity Golf Classic on Feb. 7-8, 2011. Proceeds will benefit All Children’s Hospital Foundation in St. Petersburg, FL.

Golfers of all skill levels can join the fun. While mingling with two-time Heisman Trophy-winner Archie Griffin and other sports celebrities with ties to The Ohio State University, your foursome will experience an unforgettable 18 holes of golf on one of the most magnificent private golf courses in the U.S.

Designed by Ohio State legend Jack Nicklaus in association with Tony Jacklin, the world-class Concession Golf Course snakes through 520 acres of ruggedly pristine land dotted with massive oaks and majestic pines. With only a few rooflines visible from the course, the 7,470-yard Concession Golf Course offers firm and fast playing conditions yet peaceful and natural surroundings. This 18-hole par 72 course was named “Best New Private Course of 2006” by Golf Digest Magazine.

In addition to meeting Archie Griffin and other celebrities at the Golf Classic Tuesday, Feb. 8, you can join them at the Pairings Party, silent auction, dinner, and live auction that will be held at the elegant Concession Golf Club on Monday evening, Feb. 7.

Archie Griffin, the CEO and president of The Ohio State University Alumni Association, says, “I encourage OSU alumni and golf enthusiasts everywhere to join me for what promises to be an exciting two days of golf and camaraderie on one of the most spectacular courses I have ever played. The money raised during this event will help bring hope and healing to hundreds of seriously ill children and their families.”    

“All Children’s Hospital is honored that The Concession Golf Club has elected to assist us,” says ACH Development Officer Denise Ellison. “This fundraiser will enable the Heart Center at ACH to provide better care for our children and position us for success in meeting All Children’s Hospital’s needs ‘one child at a time’.”
