By assisting Ambato in structuring a license and settlement, Pinnacle eliminated ongoing litigation expenses for both parties
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 27, 2010
Pinnacle Licensing Group today announced that it has helped negotiate and complete a patent license and settlement agreement on behalf of Ambato Media, LLC with Fujitsu Ten Corporation. The agreement resolved a patent dispute and led to the dismissal of all claims between the companies in Civil Action No. 2:09-cv-242 in the United States District Court For the Eastern District of Texas.
The patent in dispute relates to traffic information and other location-based information broadcast to devices that receive and use GPS data. “By assisting Ambato in structuring a license and settlement, Pinnacle eliminated ongoing litigation expenses for both parties,” said Reed Stager, Pinnacle CEO. “Pinnacle’s patent licensing services help support the fair exchange of value for intellectual property rights while eliminating costs and risks for licensees.” The Civil Action was filed in August of 2009. License or settlement agreements have now been successfully established for more than half of the original defendants in the Ambato litigation.
