Windsor Mill, MD (PRWEB) September 29, 2010
On October 2, 2010 DCCS’ employees will walk in the American Diabetes Association’s 2010 Step Out Walk to Fight Diabetes. DCCS is dedicating this walk to its former employee, Ronne Lewis, who lost his battle with diabetes in 2005. Ronnie was a quiet person and beloved by all in the workplace and community. He was employed by DCCS for over ten years. DCCS also wishes to acknowledge former employees Hosea Blackwell. Hosea died from cancer in 2009, but also lived with diabetes for many years. They both are missed dearly.
“A great company is made up of great employees. Ronnie Lewis and Hosea Blackwell were such employees. They were two individuals you could always count on…We are very pleased to help the American Diabetes Association in its fight against diabetes,” said James M. Douglas, Jr., President and CEO of DCCS
There are currently 23.6 million Americans living with diabetes, a disease that is outpacing heart disease, cancer and AIDS. Diabetes is a disease that has deadly serious consequences, and there is no cure.
