Shopster, a full-service online business solution, today announced a partnership with KikScore, a new trust seal for online businesses.
The partnership will give Shopster’s customers an opportunity to obtain KikScore’s independently verified trust score and seal, thereby creating an environment for their own customers to purchase with greater confidence.
"We were getting requests from our own customers to help them find a trust solution to convert more visitors to customers,” said Ryan Wuest, vice president of Marketing for Shopster.
“When we looked at KikScore, it became clear that its ability to rate several different variables associated with trust, and making that information publicly available, would go a long way to establish trust and allay security concerns."
KikScore is a trust seal for online merchants that independently verifies their online presence and ecommerce practices, resulting in a trust score that can go as high as 1,000. Currently in beta, this seal has been seen to help ecommerce merchants increase their sales after they added the KikScore seal to their sites.
“Though online commerce has grown significantly in recent years, over 63 percent of online shoppers fail to complete a transaction because of concerns about site security or trust,” said Mike Mauseth, KikScore co-founder.
“This practice, known as ‘abandoned shopping,’ costs online merchants (especially those who run smaller, lesser-known sites) over US $21 billion in lost sales each year. This is a serious problem for ecommerce merchants, and we believe the use of the KikScore seal will help them increase online trust and, therefore, sales.”
The new KikScore Service offered by Shopster includes:
- The ability to integrate a merchant’s Shopster track record into its reliability and trust scoring
- Weighting of multiple trust factors such as website security, traffic, public records and customer feedback
- An interactive platform that allows Shopster clients to include an introduction video to their customers and collect and respond to customer feedback
- Dynamic scoring, which updates a site’s score on a daily basis
