BlueStripe Software - Application Management Solutions

We turned on FactFinder, and the solution showed us the complete application system in minutes

BlueStripe Software today announced the availability of FactFinder v4, the only APM 2.0 solution that combines application and transaction performance management with automatic discovery of complete application systems. FactFinder v4 maps and manages any network-connected application with zero code instrumentation, making it the first true application management solution for IT operations and support.

“It’s time for Application Management to serve the people who take care of business systems, not just the code,” said Chris Neal, BlueStripe CEO and co-founder. “BlueStripe’s latest version of FactFinder is the first application management solution built specifically for IT Operations and Support teams. Regardless of application complexity or server platform architecture, they can monitor performance, compare changes, and triage business application problems quickly.”

The new version of FactFinder adds individual transaction trace capabilities, including performance breakdown by SQL, HTTP, or any user defined protocol, to the already powerful application management solution. For HTTP transactions, that includes an unprecedented ability to analyze the performance of each web page component for each individual user. The addition of transaction tracing features allows FactFinder’s operations and support users to get to the heart of business application problems without needing to rely on architects to understand the system, developers to instrument code, or network admins to set up network appliances.

“We turned on FactFinder, and the solution showed us the complete application system in minutes, without any configuration on our part,” said Prashanth Kashyap, Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Unum. “The new features in FactFinder v4 make it even easier to solve problems, even allowing diagnostics on Web Servers, databases, and other proprietary protocols.”

FactFinder changes how operations team think about application management. The automatic features include application discovery, performance monitoring, and problem solving – features usually seen only in specialized vendor platform tools. BlueStripe has moved beyond code and beyond individual server platform silos to deliver the first application management tool that does not rely on specific technology platforms to operate.

FactFinder is the first APM 2.0 solution, delivering unmatched capabilities to help IT organizations deal with their complex applications – wherever those applications go across physical, virtual, or cloud infrastructure.

New FactFinder v4 Features include:

  •     Transaction Layer Monitoring - Errors, throughput, total response time, and other detailed metrics for HTTP URLs, SQL requests, and any other user defined protocols
  •     Web Page Performance Breakdown - Measurements of each web page including breakdown by individual component and sub-requests
  •     Individual Transaction Tracing - Detailed performance breakdown for any individual transaction including protocol level calls and responses

FactFinder v4 is available immediately. Visit BlueStripe’s Web Site,, to learn more about managing entire application systems.
