Today Preti Flaherty announced that Erin E. Berry and Adam J. Shub have joined the firm as Associates. Both will practice from the Portland office.
Erin E. Berry will practice primarily with Preti Flaherty's Litigation and Sports Law and Entertainment Groups. She joined the firm in 2010 after serving as a Summer Associate with Preti Flaherty in 2009. During law school, Erin served as a Student Attorney at the Public Justice Advocacy Clinic, a George Washington University law clinic in Washington, D.C. She completed internships with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida as a Judicial Intern to the Honorable Shelby Highsmith. She also completed a pro-bono hour work pledge as a volunteer hotline responder for WomensLaw.org's email hotline.
Before law school, Erin was a first grade teacher in Los Angeles, CA with Teach for America. She is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School and The George Washington University where she studied International Affairs and Economics. Erin is admitted to practice in Maine and is a resident of Portland.
Adam J. Shub practices with Preti Flaherty's Litigation Group, as well as the Media Law and Sports Law & Entertainment Groups. He joined the firm in 2010 after serving as a Summer Associate with Preti Flaherty in 2009. During law school, Adam completed a Bernstein District Court Fellowship as a Law Clerk.
Prior to launching his legal career, Adam began his career in broadcast journalism. He held news anchor and reporter positions with broadcast television networks in both North Carolina and Maine. He also served as a production assistant with ESPN Productions in CT.
Adam is a graduate of The University of Maine School of Law, Boston College and University College Dublin. He is admitted to practice in Maine and resides in Yarmouth.
