Hoojobs.com Launches Online Job Board for the Public Relations, Communications, and Social Media Community

Lindsay Olson and Jolie Downs, managing partners of the public relations and marketing staffing firm Paradigm Staffing, today unveiled Hoojobs.com. Hoojobs is a new niche job board for the public relations, communications, and social media community, featuring an innovative design and user-friendly functionality.

Having served the public relations and communications industry for over 10 years, Hoojobs founders, Lindsay Olson and Jolie Downs, had become used to hearing complaints from both job-seekers and hiring managers. Many job-seekers were overwhelmed with the complicated process of applying for jobs online. “Signing up with several different job sites, each with lengthy, complex sign-up processes only makes finding a job more frustrating,” says Olson. With this in mind, Hoojobs was designed to allow job-seekers to apply for jobs without having to create an account or re-create their resume. The candidates simply enter their contact information, attach their resume, and submit directly to the employer.

Employers in the PR and communications field also expressed interest in an online job board dedicated specifically to the community. “Have you seen the crazy responses you get when you post on some of the larger, well-known job boards? It’s not pretty. Hoojobs reduces the noise, saves time, and delivers candidates who better match the positions posted. We want to give employers a simple site to post their open positions and connect with their next hire,” says Olson.

Hoojobs was also designed to make navigating the site a truly user-friendly experience. The site features a live search tool that lets the user quickly find relevant results. The candidate can also sign up for job alerts based on search keywords and subscribe to an RSS feed of jobs relevant to their search. By offering integrated social media tools, Hoojobs also offers candidates to ability to easily e-mail a job listing to a friend or share it on Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
