New Agreement Enables CoSentry to Deliver Secure Cloud Services over Advanced Cox Fiber Network
Today CoSentry, the region’s largest provider of data center and secure cloud services, announced they have entered into formal agreement with Cox Business for high capacity fiber facilities that will accelerate the growth of their Secure Cloud Services network. The new service is already implemented, tested and currently supporting CoSentry clients.
“We are experiencing high growth in our Secure Cloud Services offering as well as our Collocation business and it is imperative that we deliver stable, high speed network services to support this demand,” described Dan Cullen, vice president and general manager for CoSentry’s Central region operations. He continued, “High density computing, cloud federation and evolving server and storage technologies require constant vigilance in network delivery. The team at Cox understands this and have been a solid partner through design and execution. Every client is facing this extraordinary evolution in platform efficiency and seeking solutions that make sense. This arrangement with Cox Business allows us to plan ahead and deliver significant internet bandwidth on demand.”
The initial agreement calls for the installation of highly available infrastructure and electronics including multiple fibers, a 10GB match node Internet service delivered over redundant protected access and egress facilities. This allows CoSentry to provide their clients the best possible services, including best in class Cox Business services.
“CoSentry has successfully delivered cloud computing and collocation services for more than a decade and have a sophisticated understanding of the network requirements to optimally support their advanced operation, ” stated Guy Cherp, vice president of Cox Business Omaha. “Business customers demand flexible bandwidth, secure and reliable data and consistent monitoring, all characteristic of Cox Business’ fully redundant fiber network.”
The CoSentry network provides clients reliable connectivity, maximized peering and routing relationships and 24 hour monitoring and reporting. The four data centers are interconnected with high-capacity connections and share a common service platform. This redundancy and ease of engineering and operating efficiency has been effective for SaaS providers, disaster recovery and tier one work load conveyance, and is a particularly strong design for off-premise cloud computing configurations. Because of the elasticity of their network, CoSentry serves several members of the Global 50 community as well as enterprise and mid-size companies. A strong track record of compliance and security allows CoSentry to serve many industries including financial, transportation, energy and ecommerce. CoSentry also serves government and education clients.
