This Connector sets a new benchmark for how rich, fast, and scalable the interaction of a CMS with translation providers can be. The age of “copy and paste” for Sitecore translation projects is over.
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) December 2, 2010
Clay Tablet Technologies, a provider of unique integration software that connects any content management system (CMS) with any translation provider or technology, announced today the immediate release of the latest version (3.0) of their popular Translation Connector for Sitecore CMS. With a dramatically revised architecture, and nearly twice the features, the connector sets a new standard for how tightly a CMS can be integrated with the industry leading Clay Tablet Connectivity Platform, and therefore any translation provider or technology. This announcement parallels Sitecore’s broader announcement of increased collaborations with Clay Tablet Technologies.
Building on five years of collaboration with Sitecore and experience gained with clients around the world, CTT revised the core logic of the connector to increase performance by more than 600%. For multi-language sites with large volumes of content translation, tens of thousands of content items can now be delivered for translation in mere hours. Round trips for smaller content batches can now be achieved in mere minutes for an almost instantaneous translation.
“This Connector sets a new benchmark for how rich, fast, and scalable the interaction of a CMS with translation providers can be,” explained Clay Tablet CEO and Founder, Robinson Kelly. “The age of “copy and paste” for Sitecore translation projects is over.” continued Kelly, referring to the error-prone and inefficient manual process of sending content previously required. “The feature set is dramatically expanded as well, providing the flexibility and control that clients need to manage complex and large translation projects, while offering such blistering performance – that near “real time” translation, even using traditional translation professionals, is possible.”
As with previous versions of the Sitecore Connector, V3.0 plugs directly into the Sitecore Content Editor, enabling users to select, send, monitor, review, and publish content for translation right within the Sitecore CMS.
“Conducting business on a global scale means having a seamless strategy for localizing Web content,” said Darren Guarnaccia, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing at Sitecore. “Companies need to improve manual translation processes to better communicate and respond to a global customer base. With this integration, companies are able to quickly localize content and promotions – enabling more opportunities to increase brand awareness and sales revenue.”
Clients worldwide, including Laureate International Universities, Skygolf, Smart Technologies, Stokke, and Thule are experiencing a 60 percent reduction in translation management time with the use of the Connector.
The Connector forwards content to the neutral Clay Tablet Connectivity Platform, a hosted integration solution that can connect to any translation provider or technology, including all leading TMS and Machine Translation systems, This allows Sitecore clients to work with the translation providers and tools of their choice.
