On Monday, November 22nd Shleppers Moving & Storage donated manpower and trucks to pick up fruits and vegetables from several Hunts Point Markets and delivered it all to Brooklyn and Queens Community Centers. Over 500 families, who would not otherwise be able to afford to celebrate this Thanksgiving season, received free turkeys and fresh produce. Families also received fresh carrots, cabbage, onions, potatoes, green beans, yams, green plantains, apples, oranges, corn on the cob, yucca and collard greens, along with stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, juice, cake mix and icing.
