Triangle Adventure Boot Camp, the premiere Triangle-area women’s fitness program, which has been transforming women’s lives since Fall 2008, announces the appointment of new leadership at its Cary location. Pinda Harkey, a local fitness enthusiast and certified instructor, will take over as the lead trainer in Cary, bringing with her a surge of new energy and fresh ideas.

Triangle Adventure Boot Camp, the Triangle-area installment of the largest fitness boot camp system in the world, announces new leadership for its Cary location as it heads into the new year. Pinda Harkey, an experienced boot camp instructor and an avid runner, takes over as the lead trainer at Triangle Adventure Boot Camp’s Cary location beginning Monday, January 3, 2011. This changing of the guards brings with it positive change as the company heads into its third year of operation in the Triangle area.

“We are truly excited to have Pinda join the TABC family,” says Jennifer Shevach, Triangle Adventure Boot Camp’s director and North Raleigh instructor. “She has the kind of enthusiasm and positive energy that motivates women and helps them feel successful.” Shevach interviewed many qualified trainers, but says that Harkey is a perfect match to the company’s mission and values. “We want all women to feel welcome and successful, and Pinda has the inner talent to do just that,” says Shevach.

Earlier this month, Cary program participants were able to experience Harkey’s skills as an instructor first hand, as she began gradually teaching portions of the 5:30am daily class. “I thought Pinda was very motivating and knowledgeable,” says Cary camper N. Johnson. “I definitely felt the burn!” And Harkey is equally as excited to be joining such a successful fitness program. “I am excited to work with women who are committed to changing their lives,” says Harkey. “It will be great to watch the campers feel the positive impacts of great fitness and nutrition.”

The Cary location of Triangle Adventure Boot Camp opened in April 2010, and is held at Kildaire Farms Fitness & Racquetball Center, which boasts both outdoor and indoor facilities and use of a full locker room. Though the Cary camp has not yet reached the size of the Raleigh camp, the director remains hopeful. “The growth of the Cary location has seen its highs and lows, but we are expecting steady growth as we head into 2011,” says Shevach.

Triangle Adventure Boot Camp fuses personal training with group exercise in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Women from all over the Triangle engage each morning in a variety of activities designed to improve their level of physical fitness and boost their self-confidence. Triangle Adventure Boot Camp offers weight loss and strength gains to women of all fitness levels. Each 4-week camp consists of obstacle courses, cardio intervals, weight training, and core strengthening exercises, developed to maximize fitness gains in just one hour per day.

While there are over 250 Adventure Boot Camp locations worldwide, Triangle Adventure Boot Camp is the only one of its kind in the Raleigh area. The addition of Pinda Harkey to the Cary team brings new energy and enthusiasm to this successful fitness program.
