One Miami author is offering up a fresh, money-making strategy for women in 2011. While many are struggling with rising stress levels due to financial worries, Pamela Haack, author of Unlimited Layers: A Recipe for Turning Your Passions into Profits, is teaching women the “layer cake” approach to turning an idea into income this year.

“Typical business start-up strategies are often ineffective,” says Pamela Haack, “because they are flat-out overwhelming, particularly for women who are already spreading themselves too thin.” Haack suggests that analogies, humor and catchy memory anchors can provide women time saving, simplified techniques for creating a new income source.

The fact that women are feeling more stressed than ever is no secret. In November 2010, the American Psychological Association in its Stress in America Findings reported that women are more likely than men to report that their stress levels are on the rise. They are also much more likely than men to report physical and emotional symptoms of stress. “We know that stress is debilitating,” says Haack, “and it’s nearly impossible to focus on being creative when one is in that state.”

Haack suggests that women create an entrepreneurial “recipe” that they can follow, much like baking a layer cake. “I use the analogy of layer cake,” says Haack, “because layer cake provides an ideal mental anchor for the steps, challenges and successes associated with creating a small business.”

An entrepreneurial “recipe” is only one comparison Haack makes to layer cake. Half-baked and over-baked layers, entrepreneurial frosting and multiple flavors of income all create novel, easy-to-learn (and easy-to-remember) steps for becoming an entrepreneur.

Since many women do not have start-up capital to build a small business in today’s economy, Pamela Haack also teaches no-cost or low-cost avenues for creating a new steam of income, as well as goal setting techniques and stress-lowering focus strategies.

“Women are often amazed when they learn that they have the ability turn an idea into income,” says Haack, “and to do so while following the low-stress, layer cake analogy is the best idea since sliced bread!”

Author, Pamela Haack, will be sharing money-making tips and entrepreneurial ideas for women in Miami, FL and Dallas, TX in February and March, 2011. See details at http://www.unlimitedlayers.com.
