Microsoft deploys Colligo Contributor Pro to improve access to SharePoint through Outlook 2010

With only 200 hours of effort, we've been able to configure SharePoint Server 2010 to meet all our document and records management needs, migrate documents into the new solution, and completely eliminate iManage from our environment.

Colligo Contributor Pro was recently featured in a Microsoft case study detailing how their Legal and Corporate Affairs Department (LCA) has deployed SharePoint 2010 to improve document and matter management. In the case study, Microsoft outlines how it uses Colligo Contributor Pro to enable their attorneys, paralegals, and business professionals to access, capture and tag SharePoint content from within Microsoft Outlook 2010.

Nishan DeSilva, Director of Information Management and Compliance at Microsoft, described the ease with which LCA deployed SharePoint 2010: “With only 200 hours of effort, we’ve been able to configure SharePoint Server 2010 to meet all our document and records management needs, migrate documents into the new solution, and completely eliminate iManage from our environment.”

The case study goes on to describe how users leverage the capabilities of Colligo Contributor to access SharePoint 2010: “Practitioners use Contributor Pro—a solution from Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Colligo—to access, capture, and tag content contained in SharePoint from within the Microsoft Outlook 2010 messaging and collaboration client, and can drag email and attachments from Outlook into SharePoint Server.”

“We’re really flattered that Microsoft chose to highlight Colligo as the only SharePoint partner mentioned in the case study,” says Barry Jinks, President and CEO of Colligo. “Our ongoing experience working with Nishan and his team in Legal and Corporate Affairs has been an extremely positive and rewarding one. LCA’s SharePoint 2010 deployment really is a model for other legal departments and law firms to use in building a state of the art document and matter management system.”
