This Webinar will provide DBAs and enterprises with real-world solutions and actionable information they can use to ensure that database patch deployment remains a continual and consistent process, mitigating the risk of a damaging breach

Sentrigo, Inc., the innovator in database security and provider of data protection solutions for the datacenter and the cloud, today announced that it will host a live Webinar on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11am PT/2pm ET with the former CISO of Citicorp, the largest global financial services company. The event, entitled “Overcoming Gaps in Patch Deployment,” will feature representatives from Citicorp and Sentrigo leveraging their expertise to provide attendees with tools and techniques for effectively managing the database patching cycle.

The interactive session will feature Mike Stiglianese, the former CISO of Citicorp, Andy Feit, VP of marketing at Sentrigo, and will be hosted by Tom Wilson, president of Database Trends and Applications (DBTA) magazine – it will address critical database patch deployment delays currently plaguing organizations, due to lack of:

  •     Resources for proper regression testing
  •     Time to take databases offline for patching
  •     Support from third party application vendors
  •     Database vendor support for old versions

Attendees will also be provided with an overview of a case study surrounding a regional bank that turned to Sentrigo Hedgehog vPatch, a virtual patching tool, to meet a compliance audit’s patching requirements.

“Every database administrator knows that rapid patch deployment is critical in order for an organization to maintain its security posture and meet strict compliance and audit regulations. Even with this in mind, the patching process is often delayed by weeks, months or even years,” said Feit. “Our key objective for this Webinar is to provide DBAs and enterprises with real-world solutions and actionable information they can use to ensure that database patch deployment remains a continual and consistent process, mitigating the risk of a damaging breach.”
