Live demonstrations highlight how TerraGo® software and GeoPDF® extend Esri® ArcGIS® to make it easy for field/mobile workers to access, capture, and share geospatial intelligence

TerraGo Technologies, a leading provider of geospatial collaboration software solutions, will be at the Esri Federal User Conference (FedUC) in Washington, D.C., Jan. 19 - 21, demonstrating how its innovative TerraGo® GeoPDF® solutions extend Esri ArcGIS to enable field/mobile users who are not geospatial experts to access, capture, and share geospatial intelligence.

In booth 307--adjacent to Esri booth 213--TerraGo will showcase how to deploy GeoPDF technology as a platform for advanced geospatial applications that extend Esri® ArcGIS®, increase the utilization of maps and imagery, and provide an increased ROI on GIS software and geospatial data. TerraGo demonstrations will highlight joint solutions from Adobe, Esri, Hitachi, Trimble, Northrop Grumman, and others. The presentations will also include partner software such as Esri ArcGIS 10 and Adobe®Acrobat® X and Reader® X.

The demonstrations in TerraGo booth 307 will feature unique scenarios that give Esri users the GeoPDF advantage, including:

  •     Publish and Import TerraGo GeoPDF Maps and Imagery to/from Esri ArcGIS: TerraGo will demonstrate how to create GeoPDF from Esri ArcMap™, combining it with other data sources and then providing display, mark-up and "round-tripping" of intelligent GeoPDF map and imagery products. Featured technology: Esri ArcMap, TerraGo Publisher™ for ArcGIS, and the Hitachi® StarBoard® for command and control visualization.
  •     TerraGo 3D GeoPDF for Advanced Terrain Awareness: This demonstration will showcase how to build a 3D model in Esri ArcScene™, export it to 3D GeoPDF, and then view it in Adobe Reader for coordinate and elevation display, as well as linear measurement and line-of-sight analysis. Featured technology: Esri ArcGIS 10 and ArcScene, TerraGo 3D Composer™, and TerraGo Toolbar™ with Adobe software.
  •     Real-Time Collaboration with Esri ArcMap and TerraGo Mobile™: FedUC attendees will learn how to capture and evaluate critical field data in real time with dynamic interaction between TerraGo Mobile field collection applications and ArcMap. Featured technology: GeoPDF created from Northrop Grumman imagery, Esri ArcMap, TerraGo Mobile on Trimble® hardware, and TerraGo Toolbar with Adobe software.
  •     From Server to Mobile and Back with Esri ArcGIS Server: This demonstration will showcase how to browse geospatial assets online to create custom GeoPDF maps using the TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS Server solution, then load them directly onto a mobile device for field data collection and return. Featured technology: GeoPDF created from Northrop Grumman imagery, Esri ArcGIS Server, TerraGo Publisher for ArcGIS and TerraGo Mobile on Trimble hardware.

TerraGo is also hosting its GeoPDF Special Interest Group (SIG) meeting on January 20 from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in Room 306 at the Washington Convention Center. The SIG meeting will offer insight into how TerraGo GeoPDF maps and imagery can help organizations meet program requirements involving geospatial PDF technology. TerraGo Chief Technology Officer George Demmy will provide technology updates and a product roadmap, and featured product demonstrations will provide insights for leveraging GeoPDF in federal government, defense, and intelligence programs.

In addition, Rick Cobb, CEO of TerraGo, will present at the Geospatial PDF Federal Working Group meeting, which will take place at the Renaissance Washington, D.C. Downtown on January 18. The meeting will examine a wide range of issues and share information about programs that incorporate geospatial PDF technology. Pre-registered attendance for this meeting has already reached "capacity" level.
