Consumers can’t seem to get enough online video. According to Nielsen’s August 2010 report of How People Watch: A Global Nielsen Consumer Report, 70% of global online consumers watch online videos. “The Internet has become a leading destination for consumers to find information and entertainment, and there is a growing demand from consumers to have that content in video format,” said personal defense industry leader and Personal Defense Network’s Managing Editor.
Since its inception a year ago, PDN has become the leading destination of personal firearm defense video tips and techniques. PDN has experienced high video viewership numbers from the video content posted to its website and YouTube channel since its launch. In May 2010, PDN expanded its distribution channels to include 5min, blip.tv, Google Video and AOL Video which greatly increased viewership numbers. “We have even expanded the number of videos on our Facebook page allowing PDN members the opportunity to view personal firearm defense content in the social media of their choice,” said Pincus.
