Mandarin Oriental, New York is delighted to welcome Robert Lowe as Hotel Manager for the 248 room flagship property.
Robert comes from Mandarin Oriental, New York’s sister hotel in Washington D.C. where he was Resident Manager since September, 2007. Prior to that, he was Resident Manager at Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco. In his new role, Robert will oversee Mandarin Oriental, New York’s overall operations reporting directly to Area Vice President, General Manager Rudy Tauscher.
Commenting on the appointment, Rudy Tauscher states, “We are delighted to welcome Robert to the Mandarin Oriental, New York family and we look forward to benefiting from his extensive industry experience, as well as from his experience at our sister hotels in Washington D.C. and San Francisco. His skills, talents and fluency in several languages will be a great asset.”
Robert, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, began his career at what was formerly known as the Park Hyatt in San Francisco (presently Le Meridien). He first joined Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group in 1999 as the San Francisco property’s Director of Sales & Marketing.
