ExpressTruckTax introduces ExpressIFTA service online with free online trip sheets (IVDRs). The new IFTA service will seamlessly integrate with its current Express2290 platform to save taxpayers time and money.

SPAN Enterprises LLC, the locally based software developer, announced today the introduction of its new service line, ExpressIFTA, as a compliment to its portfolio of online transportation compliance systems. ExpressIFTA is designed to provide taxpayers with an easy and efficient method of generating quarterly IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) returns online and eliminate the necessity for taxpayers to manually calculate tax liability.

According to James Harris, Director of SPAN’s transportation and tax divisions, ExpressIFTA will be fully integrated with its current Express2290 tax platform, which already provides taxpayers and industry service professionals the ability to E-File HVUT forms directly to the IRS. The combined use platform, created specifically for the transportation industry, will prevent data redundancy, streamline the filing process, provide greater functionality and improved overall user experience at an affordable cost. SPAN becomes the first company in the transportation services industry to provide both federal heavy vehicle use tax and state fuel tax solutions in a single integrated application.

The new IFTA interface will allow users to enter mileage and fuel data into a single-page QuickEntry application or import IVDR/IVMR data from trip sheets maintained online. SPAN plans to allow its customers to use the Trip Sheets application free of charge.

ExpressIFTA, Express2290, Express8849 and SPAN’s exclusive Express OMS (Owner Operator Management System) will be available under ExpressTruckTax, the newly created online hub for transportation tax solutions.

“The new name, ExpressTruckTax, reflects the broadening spectrum of transportation compliance solutions we offer, as well as our commitment to continually develop additional service lines for our customers. As we continue to grow and introduce new services, we believe it’s important to remain focused on the needs of our customers,” said Harris. “[Customers] want a cost effective, single-source provider and we’re doing just that.”
