The Ontario Tennis Association (OTA) announced today it has acquired a ScreenScape Group license to power its own digital signage network. A ScreenScape Group allows OTA to distribute rich media content, such as instructional video, to individual tennis clubs also using the community-based platform to power screen displays in their own local facility.
Using techniques more commonly associated with social media, ScreenScape is a fast-growing digital signage platform that is growing in popularity among recreation facilities as a do-it-yourself media service.
"Having more than 200 member clubs we see this platform as a very cost-effective way to form a communication link between our member sites so that we can provide them with marketing support and coordinate messaging across the entire association." said Peter Malcomson, Marketing Manager for OTA. "We will provide content to our member displays, but they are also free to add their own localized content as well, which makes for a richer, more relevant media experience."
Ontario Tennis Association operates through a network of tennis clubs including community, private and commercial clubs, municipal parks, recreation departments and resorts. OTA serves approximately 55,000 members through a wide variety of programs designed to assist in the development of players, coaches, volunteers and facilities.
