Atomic Labs, Inc. today announced the release of Pion 3.1 for real-time network data collection and complex event processing. By passively tapping directly into a customer's live network data streams, Pion brings increased efficiencies and better insights to web analytics, application performance management, business intelligence, digital ad tracking and more. The latest release of Pion offers powerful new workflow features and enhanced real-time reporting capabilities to help data-driven professionals gain maximum insights in minimum time.
New in Pion 3.1:
Powerful Cross-Workspace Wormholes
To add security and sanity to the most complex data processing requirements, Pion now allows for connections across multiple workspaces. Sophisticated processing flows are created by dragging and dropping collection, processing and output Reactors across any number of active workspaces. In addition, finer grained access levels have been provided for each workspace, ensuring that every user is provided with the right views and the right controls at the right time.
Streamlined Real-Time Reporting
Live data captured by Pion can now be used to easily produce real-time, ad-hoc reports that complement the historical ones provided by traditional web analytics tools. Pion 3.1 provides minute to minute updates based on an individual user's defined KPIs, allowing for immediate identification of problems, opportunities and threats. In addition to creating custom reports and alerts, users can now visually inspect real-time events flowing between Reactors using Pion's web-based interface.
Pion Replay Updates
Pion 3.1 includes a streamlined session viewer that more efficiently uses screen real estate, improved partition management for data storage, and enhancements for link highlighting and form population.
Enhanced Error Notification
To help ensure flawless performance of every Pion installation, a new error notification and management system has been added to the user interface.
Pion now seamlessly supports all common international character sets.
Additional Technical Enhancements Include:
- Windows Installer updates and 64-bit native builds
- Custom honey pots to improve robot filtering
- Improved support for storing events into InfoBright databases
- Contextual help links to updated documentation now available at pion.org
- Configuration change logging
