Wilkes Barre, PA (PRWEB) February 16, 2011
Metro, a world leader in providing technology, storage and transport solutions for healthcare facilities, announced today that it will showcase its broad product line that includes point-of-care computing, medication management and clinical products at the HIMSS11 Healthcare IT Conference and Exhibition, February 20 – 24 in Orlando. Metro’s booth (#3437) will highlight solutions for every facility and department, from mobile telehealth and automated medication dispensing to clinical documentation and specialized procedure carts.
“This HIMSS conference is the ideal opportunity to showcase the increasing breadth of our healthcare product family designed to optimize workflow, maximize space and enhance productivity, including Flo, Lionville and MedDispense solutions,” said Rob Sobie, vice president of healthcare marketing at Metro. “These products illustrate our renewed focus on discovery, new technology integration and collaboration with our customers, as well as our ability to leverage our combined capabilities and swiftly respond to the changing needs of customers and make Metro the partner of choice.”
Metro’s booth will also feature product demonstrations at HIMSS11, including:
- Advanced Bedside Medication Management, focused on the features and functionality of Metro’s new Flo 1760Rx workstation with the SecureRxTM Med Module, a highly mobile system designed to optimize nursing workflow and improve patient care by combining access to real-time information with secure and accurate point-of-care medication delivery.
- Diverse Point-of-Care Computing Solutions that help hospitals improve patient care by bringing accurate, reliable information to the point of care – a critical issue for improving the patient experience and meeting the ‘meaningful use’ standard for federal financial incentives. The demonstration will feature Metro’s Dashboard Fleet Management Module, a web-based tool that provides a convenient way to manage workstation battery health to increase productivity and reduce downtime.
- Integrated Telehealth Solutions will outline advanced communications solutions that Metro’s mobile workstations support – and how these solutions can be easily integrated into your facility. The demonstration will focus on how Metro integrates computers, monitors, onboard power and industry-leading codecs and cameras on its workstations that enable REACH Health to deliver telehealth solutions to stroke patients in rural areas.
In addition to these demonstrations, products at the booth will include the Flo 1860 and 1760 computing workstations as well as Metro’s Flo Series laptop carts. Automated dispensing and medication management products will also be featured, including Lionville wall cabinets and fixtures; the Lionville i800 and iPoint.3 workstations; and the MedDispense automated medication dispensing cabinet. Metro’s Starsys modular storage products and Flexline procedure carts will also be on-site to represent the company’s broad portfolio of clinical products.
Metro will also feature the industry’s widest line of advanced power systems to support reliable performance, including lithium-Ion nanophosphate, nickel metal hydride, swappable lithium ion and advanced sealed lead acid solutions. A white paper, “Developing a Mobile Power Strategy to Support Quality Care,” will be released to help clinical, IT and biomedical professionals understand the diverse power options now available.
