Milton Keynes, UK (PRWEB) March 25, 2011
It's the weekend all technology fans have been waiting for - and Argos will be there to provide customers with the two hottest new gadgets of 2011. Today sees the launch of both the iPad 2, Apple's follow-up to its phenomenally successful tablet, and the next big thing in the handheld console arena, the Nintendo 3DS.
The Nintendo 3DS takes gaming on the go to the next level by delivering a 3D experience without the need for 3D glasses. Building on the unrivalled popularity of the Nintendo DS - with 13 million owners in the UK, it is the most successful games console this country has seen - Nintendo has delivered a strong line up of launch titles for the 3DS. Argos has 14 of the best 3DS games today in all stores across the UK and Ireland.
Argos can also confirm it is offering Nintendo fans a fantastic console deal that can't be matched by other general merchandise retailers. Nintendo DSi XL owners who want to upgrade to the 3DS experience can get it half price by trading in their old DS at their local Argos store before Wednesday 30 March. All gamers looking to buy a Nintendo 3DS from Argos this weekend will receive £60 worth of vouchers and a free accessory kit which includes a protective case, car charger, headphones and a spare stylus.
Over a quarter of Argos sales come via customers using the Argos.co.uk 'Check & Reserve' service, where they can instantly check product stock online and reserve it at a local Argos store with stock for collection within two days. With demand for the Nintendo 3DS expected to be high, customers are being urged to visit Argos.co.uk to take advantage of this convenient service.
The iPad 2 needs no introduction, and will be available in 83 of Argos' leading stores across the country from 5pm Friday 25 March. From Saturday 26 March, Argos.co.uk customers will also be able to 'Check & Reserve' the iPad 2 of their choice or opt for free home delivery.
Argos is stocking the full iPad 2 range, available in both Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G versions, with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models to suit all needs from £399. Argos will also stock 12 stylish smart covers in black and white.
So if you want to be part of the new handheld revolution or stay connected with the latest in tablet technology, be sure to get down to your local Argos store this weekend.
