Releases Several New Mobile Apps for Travelers

Following the success of’s travel-related iPhone application, the company recently released new apps for the Android operating system and Apple iPad, as well as an enhancement update to their existing iPhone application. is a brand of Travel Media Group and a division of Dominion Enterprises.

The apps are designed to help travelers find hotel coupons and deals on the devices that get the majority of their attention. While customers are still able to print coupons from and bring in coupons from Room Saver’s printed travel guides, the GPS-enabled mobile and tablet applications will allow customers to quickly search, locate and access coupons or call hotels in the areas where they are traveling. These applications also provide travelers the opportunity to share these deals with their friends via social media platforms and email.

“Mobile browsing continues to gain exposure in the hotel industry,” explained Mark Novak, vice president/general manager of Travel Media Group, “and it is important that travelers have a method to search for the best hotel deals available. Launching applications on both Apple’s iOS and the Android platform allows us to get our hoteliers’ message in front of an ever-growing demographic. We will continue forging a new path to marketing the best hotel deals whether pc or mobile based.”

Both the Apple iPad and Apple iPhone apps can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes App Store and require users to be operating iOS 3.2 or later. The Android app can be downloaded from the Android Marketplace and requires users to be operating Android 2.1 and up. All apps are free of charge and have features that allow users to view discount hotel coupons and recent searches and also save their favorites. An interactive map can zoom in and out and assist in pinpointing the exact location of hotels.

On March 9, Dr. Bernd Fauser, head of global travel top accounts for Google, revealed at their Future of Travel session that 10% of all Google search for travel is now conducted on mobile devices. From these mobile searches, 70% of mobile hotel bookings are for the same day. Dr. Fauser also forecasted that in 2013 we will see mobile users outweigh desktop users. As mobile search and bookings continue their dramatic increase in the travel industry,’s new applications will make it easier to accommodate these travelers’ needs.
