Journey to Safety, a new book by Karen Stokes and illustrated by Alexandria Kogevnikoff, has been released by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Trumpet the Elephant and his wife, Ellie, are happily living in Africa when one day, a sudden urge to travel northward makes them leave their home. Spring, summer, and fall pass by, but they still have not found the reason why they are making their journey.

When winter comes, they reach a valley where different animals are boarding a very large boat. Strangely, Trumpet and Ellie feel no fear being with other animals that are their natural enemies.
Will Trumpet and Ellie find out why they were led to this boat with other animals?
