EWI Worldwide Names Shirley Li General Manager of its Asia-Pacific Operations

EWI Worldwide, a global live communications company, announces the appointment of Shirley Li as general manager of its Asia-Pacific operations, headquartered in Shanghai, China. A native of China, Li will manage an established EWI team that continues to deliver localized exhibiting, retail and event programs for US and European brands operating in the region, as well as deliver programs for Asian brands expanding into new markets.

“Strong local capabilities are key to the success of international programs,” said Ben Einer, president, International, EWI Worldwide. “Shirley’s intricate knowledge of the local business practices and culture will allow our Asia-Pacific headquarters to expand and build an even stronger platform to serve our clients in this vital market.”

Li brings over 20 years of trade show and event industry experience and was most recently the General Manager at PICO Shanghai. A strong leader, she is passionate about creating lasting relationships with clients, nourishing connections with partners and inspiring her staff to excel. Throughout her career, Li has led many Asia-Pacific programs for Toshiba, Cisco, Ericsson, Philips and IBM, among other global brands.

“One of the challenges for the Chinese exhibition industry is meeting international quality and service standards,” Li said. “We work in China, Japan, Korea, Singapore and India, among other Asia-Pacific markets, and make sure that the execution of projects meet the expectations of American and European clients.”
