I always work towards building a staff of patient advocates
Jacksonville, Florida (Vocus/PRWEB) January 08, 2011
Lakeview Health Systems, an award-winning treatment center for drug and Alcohol, has just added Robert Lehmann to their staff as the executive director. Mr. Lehmann, who brings with him 25 years of addiction treatment experience, will be responsible for overseeing a staff of 150 employees, managing daily operations, and ensuring that all patients receive high-quality care.
Mr. Lehmann, who started in December of 2010, was attracted to the reputation, culture, and dedication to recovery at Lakeview. “I quickly was able to feel the warmth and caring that is displayed to our patients. And if I can feel it, so can the patients,” says Mr. Lehmann.
Prior to joining Lakeview, Mr. Lehmann was the administrator of Twelve Oaks, a 102-bed psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment facility in Florida. In addition to his vast experience, he holds a master’s degree in human services. All of his career he has put special emphasis on building quality staff.
“I always work towards building a staff of patient advocates,” says Mr. Lehmann. “This results in providing higher quality service and, because of that, better results for our patients.” He understands it is truly the employees that can make a difference in a patient’s life.
“Throughout my career, when I have talked to patients about their treatment experience they will always talk about various staff, not only the clinical team, but the housekeeper who made them feel welcomed, or the food service worker who went out of their way to do something special, or the tech who showed great kindness to a patient at a point in their life when it was most needed,” explains Mr. Lehmann. He believes the more support you offer staff, the better the end product, which in this case is recovery from drugs and alcohol.
