Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced the availability of AXIOM Version 6.0.1 and its companion 6.0.1C, the first Simplified Chinese-specific version of AXIOM, an ERP software solution designed specifically for the unique requirements of manufacturers and distributors in the metals, wire and cable industries. AXIOM 6.0.1C is immediately available to all new customers in China, and AXIOM 6.0.1 is available for new system sales and to all current AXIOM customers on a maintenance agreement.
AXIOM v6.0.1 and v6.0.1C include a variety of new upgrades to enhance the user experience and update software compatibility. All of the features and cumulative service-pack enhancements that have been released to date for AXIOM 6.0 are bundled into this new version, as well as an updated forms-based reporting functionality, now built with Crystal Reports. In addition, AXIOM 6.0.1 features a more robust code design to support language translations using Progress Translation Manager, along with the ability for users to specify their preferred language for displaying screen elements, reports and system data. Other minor enhancements facilitate control of localized display formatting and support for data entry of multi-byte character data, such as Simplified Chinese.
AXIOM 6.0.1C includes all of the aforementioned capabilities, with the addition of fully translated screens in Simplified Chinese for all AXIOM Transactions and Inquiries. User data labels can be displayed in the user's language of choice, and any data exported from AXIOM Reports and Utilities will be in the language as entered. Reporting capabilities are also supported, through Crystal Reports and Advanced Reporting.
Consona has been expanding is operations in China since the acquisitions of the Intuitive related assets of Chinese resellers GrapeCity and TproSoft in late 2008. Consona China has since announced a new general manager, Tim Farey, back in April 2010, and has held an annual Consona China User Conference; the most recent showcased its newest set of solutions available to the Chinese market. Consona’s Intuitive, Cimnet Systems and AXIS ERP software product lines are all available to the Chinese market.
