I gave up my search when I found Studio Shed online since I was immediately attracted to the clean lines, the earthy colors, and the clever use of windows for natural lighting.

STUDIO SHED® recently installed a 10’ x 12’ building on the property of Knut Nystad, Chief of the Norwegian Ski Federation Service Team.

Knut, the University of Denver’s former Head X-Country Ski Coach (1994-2006), purchased a property in Colorado and owns a home in Denver’s Wellshire Heights neighborhood. As a coach and “Chief of Service” for the Norwegian Ski Team, Knut lives full time in Norway. His twin brother, Trond Nystad, also a former coach of DU’s Ski Team (1996-2000) currently lives at the Wellshire address with two of DU’s X-Country coaches.

Living in Colorado mandates an active lifestyle and the Nystad house wasn’t built for sporty inhabitants with gear for all seasons (I.e. bikes, skis, rollerblades, golf bags, tents, mats, climbing gear). “When my garage filled up I had to find a solution that not only matched my lifestyle, but also my design and functionality preferences. I gave up my search when I found Studio Shed online since I was immediately attracted to the clean lines, the earthy colors, and the clever use of windows for natural lighting. The product also complemented and enhanced the space at a fair price.” says Knut.

The Nystad twin brothers were born in the Norwegian city of Fauske, Norway. Knut and Trond were attracted to the STUDIO SHED® architecture because of its close resemblance to the geometric tendencies seen with modern Scandinavian design. Scandinavian countries adopted cost-efficient prefabricated processes post WWII. The fact that STUDIO SHED’s® are manufactured at a 100% solar prefabrication plant contributed to an easy purchasing decision.

The Nystad Studio Shed was purchased to replace a weathered Tuff Shed and will serve a utilitarian existence storing outdoor equipment for four professional athletes until this spring when the floating floor structure with Plexiglas windows will be wired with electricity and completely finish inside to use as an office and additional guest’ quarters.

I am now the proud owner of a Studio Shed and I must admit that it looks even better than I had imagined! It looks so nice that I am wondering if maybe the gear goes back in the garage and I move my home office into the Studio Shed.”
