The Employer in Residence program provides a win-win opportunity for both organizations: our students will gain real world experience and knowledge from a growing company in a key industry while the company will develop a pipeline of fresh talent.
Nashville, TN (Vocus/PRWEB) January 26, 2011
iPractice Group, a Nashville-based healthcare IT company, has announced a partnership with Belmont University for their Employer in Residence program. The company hopes that this relationship will help foster local young talent in the fields of IT, finance and marketing.
Dr. Yvonne Catino, Vice President of Human Capital and Organizational Development for iPractice Group, states, “We are proud to be part of this new partnership with Belmont University. We have several objectives for the program, the main focus being to share our industry expertise with the faculty, staff and students. Our hope is to take a leadership role in raising awareness of the ‘up and coming’ healthcare careers that will be needed in the next 5-10 years. We are pleased to be the first company to partner with Belmont in this Employer in Residence initiative.”
iPractice Group, founded in 2010, offers an all-inclusive EHR and Practice Management software package for small group and solo medical practices. As the company’s business plan enters its implementation stage, the workforce must grow accordingly. The company expects to hire 100+ employees in various fields by the end of 2011. In Belmont, iPractice Group has found an organization that shares its entrepreneurial vision, commitment to excellence, and anticipation of further growth.
To kick off the new partnership, iPractice Group is sponsoring the Massey School “Industry Spotlight Seminar” on February 1, at 5 p.m. The company’s CEO, Ting Chang, will address attendees briefly at the start of the event. On February 9, COO Jason Morgan will speak as part of a “Hot Careers in Healthcare” convocation.
Later in the Spring semester, iPractice Group intends to send guest lecturers to applicable courses, host an information session for students interested in pursuing careers with the company, and hold on-campus interviews.
Lori LeBleu, Director of Career Development for Belmont University’s College of Business Administration, says, “The Employer in Residence program provides a win-win opportunity for both organizations: our students will gain real world experience and knowledge from a growing company in a key industry while the company will develop a pipeline of fresh talent.”
