Bales Mold Service recently welcomed Jaime Santiago as its new lab chemist in its Downers Grove, Illinois, plant. Jaime’s duties include controlling the plating chemistry within the Electroless Nickel department. In addition, he will be working to install a new waste treatment operation as well as help to reduce chemical usage cost by prolonging the life of the Electroless Nickel bath.
With 31 years of experience in engineering, plating operations, management, manufacturing and waste management, and a degree in chemical engineering, Jaime’s experience and skills are a perfect match for Bales. He is also an AESF-certified electroplater-finisher and possesses an Illinois State Class K license as a waste treatment site operator.
“Jaime has brought the expertise to improve our lab with his knowledge as a chemical engineer,” says Bales’ Plant Manager Jon Bailey. “He has implemented processes that have extended the life of our plating baths, and he is working on various other research and development projects. We are happy to have him as a new member of our team and hope to have a lot of mutual success here at Bales Mold.”
Jaime says he hopes to invest in the development of new equipment processes to help drive new business opportunities at Bales.
