The Aastra MX-ONE® call manager for medium and large enterprises can now be integrated with Microsoft® Lync™. It has received formal accreditation from TekVizion, an independent testing and certification lab in Richardson, Texas, validating the interoperability between the two products.

According to Edin Hadzialic, Head of R&D for Aastra’s MX-ONE, “The validation tests were extremely comprehensive and the certification enhances the choice for our customers. Our MX-ONE call control manager is a highly scalable and flexible solution and customers across the globe can now either integrate it with Microsoft Lync or with our own unified communications solution. The certification extends our ongoing relationship with Microsoft and meets our strategy of offering quality, investment protection, and choice to customers.”

Morten Gulliksen, Product Manager from Teleconsulting in Oslo, Norway is one of the first people to have experienced the integration of Aastra’s MX-ONE with Microsoft Lync. He commented, “As a channel partner for Aastra, we decided to use the MX-ONE and Microsoft Lync integration ourselves and so far have reaped the benefits of video telephony and desktop sharing. By experiencing the integration ourselves, we are in a strong position to advise customers who are interested in the combination of Microsoft Lync and Aastra’s MX-ONE.

“From our experience, the installation is very stable and the two products operate seamlessly together. The new certification will open up opportunities for medium and large organizations to access Aastra’s call manager features in complex environments such as mixing IP and digital.”

The highly scalable MX-ONE call control manager also comes with a complete suite of unified communications (UC) solutions such as unified messaging, conferencing and collaboration – all aimed at reducing costs and improving efficiency and productivity. The MX-ONE is supported by Aastra’s extensive choice of desktop and cordless phones.

The integration with Microsoft Lync - Microsoft’s UC platform – is valid for Aastra MX-ONE running Telephony Server software version V.4.1 SP3. For further information, visit http://www.aastra.com/mx-one-telephony-system.htm
