Incident Control Systems, LLC (ICS) announced today that it has signed a multi-year agreement with SSAB Americas to exclusively develop and market ballistic armor solutions using SSAB’s steel alloy Armox Advance.
ICS has developed a new class of vehicle armor solutions using Armox Advance that outperforms and weighs less than existing metal armor solutions.
Using ICS patent-pending technology, Armox Advance costs significantly less than ceramic armor but exhibits weight savings and ballistic performance similar to ceramic armor systems.
“We are very pleased to have entered into this Agreement with SSAB, a world class leader in steel manufacturing techniques. Armox Advance represents the latest in steel technology and when combined with our patent-pending composite process, will give the market a new generation of armor performance,” stated ICS President, Steve Monette Jr.
ICS expects REVOLUTION ARMOR will be a welcome addition to the Company’s product line by providing a low-cost, lightweight armor solution for those clients who can’t afford the cost of its highly regarded ceramics or the extra weight of metallic solutions.
