“We're elated that our company-developed VPN security technology, called SURE for Secure User Routable Encryption, was issued a patent in the U.S.,” said David Lonardo, President of GoTrusted.

GoTrusted's SURE VPN protocol allows individuals and companies to protect their computers when using insecure Internet connections such as public Wi-Fi hotspots, hotels, airports, and in regions that monitor Internet use. SURE is designed to work where existing VPN encryption methods will fail to operate, or operate inconsistently, over networks.

GoTrusted's patent application with the SURE VPN protocol technology, titled 'Method to create an OSI network layer 3 virtual private network (VPN) using an HTTP/S tunnel,' was accepted on all claims for the invention and issued the United States patent number 8,015,406.

GoTrusted's VPN service, which uses the SURE technology, enables identity protection and security from malicious users that may attempt to hack into or scan a user's system. The service also allows unfiltered and encrypted Internet use in regions where the Internet is blocked or monitored. The SURE protocol is automatically deployed by the GoTrusted VPN computer software upon connection to GoTrusted's secure network. The service is offered at $5.99 per month for individual accounts and easily used with a single button to enable protection on the user's system.

“More than just an invention on paper, GoTrusted's SURE VPN technology is proven in the field, being used by thousands of people at this very moment to protect their computers and encrypt data. It's been in use since 2006 when it was initially developed,” continued Lonardo. “I use our VPN service every day myself, and wouldn't think of connecting my laptop at a café without it.”
