With Thanksgiving and the holiday season right around the corner, Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa is already preparing for another fabulous holiday kick-off. Book the “Turkey Trot Package” to stay four nights in a 1-5 bedroom distinctive home or villa over Thanksgiving Day Weekend and get a complimentary Thanksgiving Day Turkey Dinner delivered by Eagle Ridge Pilgrims right to your resort accommodations on Thursday, Nov. 24. (A $245 value and you don't have to cook a thing! Serves 8 people)

Book the “Gobble-licious Getaway Package” to stay four nights over Thanksgiving Day Weekend in an Inn room and receive two complimentary Thanksgiving Day Feast Dinner Tickets. (A $62 value!)

Plus, book either of these offers and kids can bring their parents to ‘Breakfast with Santa’ on Saturday, November 26 and the parents eat for the same price as the kids! Thanksgiving 2011 gets underway on Thursday, November 24 with two fabulous options; either the resort’s lavish Thanksgiving Day Feast in their beautiful Eagle Ballroom or by having a turkey dinner delivery by Eagle Ridge staff dressed as Pilgrims to guests staying at the resort’s rental homes or villas.

•The Thanksgiving Day Feast features a bountiful menu including a Fresh and Savory Salad Station, Appetizer Selections, Charcuoterie and Cured Fish Selections, a Meat Carving Station, a wide variety of entrées, fresh baked breads and rolls and many different delicious desserts. The Thanksgiving Feast will be served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 815-776-5050. The cost for adults is $31 and children $16, plus tax and gratuity.

•The Thanksgiving Day Turkey Delivery is a unique alternative to attending the Ballroom Feast, with Eagle Ridge’s culinary experts delivering whole turkey dinners to guests staying in the resort’s rental homes or villas. Dressed as Pilgrims, the resort’s staff personally delivers the homemade turkey feasts from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Whole turkey dinners cost $245 inclusive of tax, delivery, and gratuity, and feeds 8 people. Friday, November 25 turns into the official kick-off to Christmas at the resort, starting with Santa’s arrival at 4 p.m., with assistance from his elves. Santa reads “T’was the Night Before Christmas” to his audience before joining everyone in “Santa’s Workshop” where he will listen to every child’s wishes. Santa’s Workshop is from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and provides a bundle of children’s activities including a Bear Factory, holiday homemade crafts and reindeer games. Reindeer games consist of candy corn bingo and holiday carol karaoke. Last but not least there will be a festive flick for children and parents to watch! Horse drawn hayrides will be given by the Inn court yard from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Eagle Ridge’s famous ‘Movies in Tubies’ night will be held from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the resort pool, featuring the holiday classic “Home Alone.”

Saturday, November 26 starts with “Breakfast with Santa” from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The full “Breakfast with Santa” menu may be found online at (Special Events).

Following the “Breakfast with Santa,” there will be second full day of exciting holiday recreation starting with vacation creations, a winter and holiday themed arts and crafts, starting at 10 a.m. Hayrides by the Inn Courtyard will be given from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Bear factory starts at 12 p.m. in the resort pool area. Vacation creations will tart again at 2 p.m., followed by another Bear factory from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Activities will come to an end with S’mores Galore from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (located ?)

Other holiday festivities include ice skating, cross country skiing, and sledding weather permitting. Also available over the holiday weekend is 18-holes of championship golf on the North course weather permitting. Woodlands Lounge provides live music entertainment every Friday and Saturday evening starting at 8 p.m.
