DePaul University Accepts Invitation to Facilitate as The CFO Alliance Kicks off Timely Discourse Dec. 7 to Discuss, Debate, and Dissect Key Challenges Facing Middle Market Finance Leaders

“We are looking forward to incorporating our Chicago chapter members as a key part of the broader discussion as they build peer-to-peer relationships that can supply timely, relevant information and support,” says Araco.

Pressured by an uncertain economy and changing regulatory environment, Chicago-area finance leaders are forming the newest chapter of The CFO Alliance, a CFO peer-to-peer community that has quickly become a collective voice for middle market CFOs from across the country.

Having worked closely with the over 2,400 CFO Alliance members and partners over the past year, Nick A. Araco, Jr., Esq., president and CEO of The CFO Alliance, believes that today’s finance leaders are no longer confident in where the country’s economy, jobs, and capital markets are headed. Their frustration is now impacting critical investments in corporate growth activities, such as hiring, M&A, and R&D, which are sorely needed for a true “recovery” to occur.

“We are looking forward to incorporating our Chicago chapter members as a key part of the broader discussion as they build peer-to-peer relationships that can supply timely, relevant information and support,” says Araco.

With a presence already in eleven U.S markets, the CFO Alliance sees its expansion into Chicago as a way to broaden the organization’s goal of creating and leveraging focused and effective peer networks. The inaugural breakfast discussion of The CFO Alliance Chicago chapter is scheduled to be held December 7, at the Medinah Country Club, Medinah, IL. The continued objective of collaborating and validating decision-making to nurture a healthy and inviting business climate is apparent throughout all CFO Alliance chapters and continues online via the organization’s virtual community, Through these efforts, the CFO Alliance continues to effectively connect U.S. middle market finance leaders in order to:

  •     Fuel CFO confidence in their decision-making
  •     Drive corporate growth and increase performance and profitability
  •     Boost overall economic performance in each chapter’s region and around the U.S.

Working closely with academic sponsor DePaul University, the CFO Alliance will offer Chicago CFOs the information and guidance they need to lead their organizations through times of challenge and transition. DePaul Department of Finance professors will facilitate discussions designed to expose how CFOs are being recast as champions of change within their organizations while maintaining and growing their influential role with greater leadership, management, and corporate strategy responsibilities.

To become a member and to register to join the discussion, interested parties are invited to visit (registration is strictly required). The CFO Alliance prescreens all meeting attendees in order to ensure that finance leaders are seated with their peers. Registration is complimentary for qualified first-time attendees. CFO Alliance meetings offer participants 1.5 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. Registration is required.
