New book reveals different types and reasons for giving

For most Christians, offering tithes has become a way of life. Most Christians give a mandatory ten percent temple tax of every cent that comes into their possession. But is this what God really means by tithing? In Debunking “The Tithe of Israel”, author Alvin J. Bates exposes the real deal.

People were taught that Abraham tithed all his personal belongings, and this example should be followed. But according to Bates, this should not be the case. Story after story, scripture after scripture, people’s minds have been bent to believing a false doctrine. Debunking “The Tithe of Israel” reveals what God really wants by leading readers down a path of historical giving as the predecessors like Abram, Jacob, and others have done.

“God is wanting us to do away with legalistic giving such as the giving done under the Law of Moses and to lead us into a spirit of freedom that is under the Spirit of Grace,” the author shares. “This will free us to obey the subtle moving of the Spirit of God and not be tied down to a ritualistic type of giving.”
